Month |
|
Balasana
Create the beginner's
mind and view the world as a child and let yourself be
born anew. Child pose (balasana) calms the body, mind
and sprit - stimulates the third eye point and grounds
our self preservation or Muladhara Chakra. Child pose
gently stretches the low back, massages and tones the
abdominal organs, and stimulates digestion and
elimination. More than a rest stop, Child's Pose
requires you to surrender to gravity and a state of
nondoing.

Our Greatest Fear
?
Fear is part of life, our yoga practice
represents life. What if this, what if that?
All the questions arise on the mat and off the mat. We
build trust on the mat and the advancement of our yoga
is building that trust and eliminating the doubt. If we
doubt ourselves, how can we trust anyone let alone
ourselves? Building the trust comes with knowing,
trusting, feeling and flowing. Realize your greatness,
trust your greatness and be your masterpiece. This
month's lesson is a poem, given to me not by a sage or
enlightened noble, but from a peer when I too had
doubt. None of us are immune, nor any of
us alone.
